It sounds like some idiot that owned it, tried doing his own adjustments with the truss rod and didn't have a clue what he was doing..plus obviously was abusive or just didn't give a damn about care. I know each and every epiphone from the orient goes to Gibson for rigorous inspection before distribution, because their name is behind it. @moucon I expected it to be as advertised, as far as being a piece of crap that is a matter of opinion and this was not a made in China Guitar. Have you ever heard of John Lee Hooker, ever heard of Leon Rhodes among other professional guitar players. Americans don't want cheap crap from China the Corps want excessive profits and offer crappy quality to get them. What do you think is a good quality jazz guitar? Caveat Emptor. What did you expect? First of all, it's a piece of crap Epiphone. Brand new that guitar wasn't anything great. With the possible exception of a John Lennon Casino, used Epiphones should go in the dumpster when they need extensive repairs -unless it's for sentimental reasons, they're never worth sinking the money into. I concur with you, got a Taylor T5 from them and they advertised the same way and it had been rode hard and not like in the New condition they had advertised. I got every cent back from them including return shipping. I sure wanted that guitar but it had too many expensive issues. I hope you are not saddled with a dud guitar. I won a bid from GMG on a guitar describtion was some fret wear and nicks no other issues. Wasnt even the brand they claimed and had a 9 inch crack in the neck that was repaired and had been refinished some time in the past.could not be a oversite unless you were blind! They offered a complete refund including shipping, but ive read others were not refunded shipping! Thanx for the tip. I always was afraid to buy stuff on eBay, especially when it is priced highish. I beleive if buy it brand new not only will it be in the best of shape and have a warranty, but you will most likely apreciate it a lot more and take better care of it if you have put more into it. |
